of recalcitrant elements.
Go on, put a life together
and make sense of it
until end calls time.
The hero of motionless time
is the travelling mind,
from amid mental furniture—
life without tears as it is wept.
Aura of past
and the colours are faded.
Grey and bored trackside themes.
Old cars, car parts,
Europe’s trash in muted paths,
murmurs of trees and factory wrongs
with a sense of annoyance
and definite chiasmata and distance.
Spectre of change, structure and cells,
brain cells, cowards and chromosome acid,
and basically everything.
Is it winter or Eden?
Burnt antennae!
In our sublunary microwave,
a mantis’ arrest.
